Rutherford Falls Season 2 will begin streaming on June 16, 2022. All eight episodes will be released on that day.
Great news Rutherford Falls fans, Sierra Teller Ornelas, the first Navajo, co-creator, showrunner, writer and executive producer of the ground-breaking Native American-themed television series on Peacock TV, has just made a statement that so many fans of the show have been waiting to hear:

Ornelas added, “Get ready to laugh, cry, and swoon. Do people still swoon? Well, they will now! Ed Helms, Mike Schur, and I had an absolute blast making a show that’s heartfelt, laugh-out-loud funny, and depicts Native Americans in ways you never see on television. Also, a lot of people get punched/kicked in the face. We hope you enjoy Season 2!”

NBC’s Peacock TV alsoshared in an email to Native Viewpoint a bounty of 35 never-before-seen images of Season 2 to include some yet-to-be-announced new cast members to the show.
Cast members announced include Ed Helms, Jana Schmieding, Michael Greyeyes, Jesse Leigh, Dustin Milligan, and newcomers Dallas Goldtooth, and Kaniehtiio Horn

The series Rutherford Falls, according to the creators, represents a breakthrough moment in Native representation in comedy television both in front of and behind the camera.
Rutherford Falls is one of the largest Indigenous writer’s rooms on television with six Native writers staffed on the series including co-creator and executive producer Sierra Teller Ornelas (Navajo), Tai Leclaire (Kanien’kehá:ka [Mohawk Nation]/Mi’kmaq), Jana Schmieding (Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux), Tazbah Chavez (Bishop Paiute/Diné/San Carlos Apache), Dash Turner (Yurok) and Azie Dungey (Pamunkey).

In Season 2 of Peacock’s hit comedy Rutherford Falls, life-long best buds Nathan Rutherford (Ed Helms) and Reagan Wells (Jana Schmieding) help each other tackle work, romance, and major changes to their small town and the Native American reservation it borders, initiated by Tribal Casino C.E.O. Terry Thomas (Michael Greyeyes).
